Manatees Earn FCSAA Honors in the Classroom

Bradenton, Fla - State College of Florida (SCF) was well represented as the Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) announced its all-academic team for the 2015-2016 school year.  Thirty Manatees earned the minimum 3.30 GPA in the classroom.  All five SCF sports were represented on the honorary team.  In total, the FCSAA honored 560 student-athletes from 23 member colleges.

Congratulation to the following students for a job well-done.  You truly embody the spirit of the student-athlete.

  • Baseball: Ryan Ahern, Tyler Bench, Kevin Buckley, Andrew DiLacqua, Michael Gizzi, Scott Kelly, Christopher “Gabe” Moore, Vladimir Nunez, Tyler Romanik, Kollin Schrenk, Ethan Skender
  • Basketball: Joshua Floyd, Jordan Gaskins, Harrison Hebert
  • Softball: Darby Bernaldo, Brandi Bunker, Brittany Gilliam, Jessica Harney, Kassidy Neptune, Tristen Pearson, Cassandra Shukitis, Cacey Simmons, Erica Ward
  • Volleyball: Marisa Beisner, Jessica Dills, Sara Kartolovic, Courtney Rapp, Marion Vaucher
  • Women’s Tennis: Iulia Sergheeva, Maria Zubkova

For the fifth consecutive school year, the Manatees earned a department GPA above a 3.00.  The 3.13 GPA was earned as students competed in a rigorous athletic schedule.
