LAKELAND,Fla.- The SCF Baseball team opened the FCSAA State Tournament with a win over #2 ranked Santa Fe College. The Manatees trailed 1-0 through the first three innings. There were no hits through the sixth. Josh Allen earned a leadoff walk in the top of the 8th, stole second base, and advanced to third on an error. Santa Fe intentionally walked power hitter Tyler Rocklein with two outs. Freshman, Connor Hale, hit a bases clearing triple and the Manatees went on to win 4-1. Dayan Rodriguez (Sarasota,FL) earned the win going 7 2/3 innings allowing only 1 run and striking out 10. Devin Raftery came in for the save shutting down four Saints batters. The Manatees advance to meet Chipola College on Friday night at 7pm.
