Manatees Baseball Beats FSW in Extra Innings

Ft. Myers, Fla - The Manatees opened a three game series with Florida Southwestern with a win.  It took extra innings, but SCF came away with a 5-2 win over the Buccaneers of FSW.

Colton Chupp started on the mound for SCF.  He threw 7.2 innings allowing 2 runs on 7 hits.  He left the game with the score tied and Bucky Bonynge entered the game in relief.  Bonynge pitched 1.1 innings and earned the win.  Vlad Nunez held the Buccaneers in check in the 10th inning, earning the save.

Keshawn Lynch had the big hit of the night with a two-run home run in the top of the 10th. John Pichman and Jaren Shelby each had run scoring singles.  Ryan Karstetter and Reilly Johnson each knocked doubles.  Rougie Odor had two hits and two stolen bases on the day.  

With the win the Manatees improve to 17-9-1 overall and 3-1 in Suncoast play.
