Major League Baseball Scout Day

Major League Baseball Scout Day

Bradenton, Fla - There was a buzz around Robert C. Wynn Field Monday for the 2016 MLB Scout Day.  Over 75 professional scouts representing all 30 Major League Baseball teams were in attendance to evaluate the 2016-17 Manatees.  Scouts from the Major League Baseball Scouting Bureau were also on site for the event.

Manatees baseball players started the day by running the 60 yard dash in front of the scouts.  Seven SCF players ran an impressive 6.9 or better in the the 60.  Batting practice and Infield/outfield followed.  To wrap up the day, scouts were treated to an inter-squad scrimmage.

Several outstanding pitchers were on display in the scrimmage.  The highlight of these pitchers was transfer sophomore Brendan Little.  The left handed pitcher topped out at an impressive 97 mph.
