Bradenton, Fla - Reilly Johnson, a sophomore, was named NJCAA Region 8 Baseball Player of the Week for the week of March 20-26th. The catcher batted .533 (8-15) with three runs scored, one double and three RBIs in four games during the voting period.
Johnson helped the Manatees pick up Suncoast Conference victories against Hillsborough Community College and NJCAA No. 6, Polk State College. He finished the week with consecutive 4-for-4 games versus Polk State. In the final game against the Eagles, he scored three runs and drove in two.
Reilly Johnson reached base in nine consecutive plate appearances over the final two games. He recorded a sacrifice fly in his final at bat. Johnson has the second highest batting average on the team this season, .357.
