SCF SB sweeps Daytona State College behind Wildey's big bat
DAYTONA, Fla- SCF Softball swept the Daytona State College Falcons 6-2 and 9-4. Paige Mathews went the distance in game one and got the save behind freshman hurler, Megan Schwietert. The offensive attack was led by sophomore short stop, Chelsea Wildey. She was 5-for-8 with three doubles, a triple, six RBI and scored three times. Ashley Burney (4-for-7) and Megan Tice (3-for-7) added a combined 5 RBI for the Manatees.

In game one, Mathews fanned seven Falcons at the plate while giving up only four hits in seven innings. Sophomore slugger, Ashley Burney, was a perfect 3-for-3 with 2 RBI and Chelsea Wildey had 3 RBI.
In the second half of the double header, Schwietert handled 11 Daytona batters giving up only two runs in 3 innings. Dani Darby was 3-for-4 with a walk and a stolen base. Tice and Wildey had three hits and three RBI each. Freshman catcher from Lakewood Ranch HS, Amber Ozment added two hits.
The Manatees are ranked #2 in the FCSAA poll this week and improved to 20-8. They host Palm Beach State College on Thursday and Illinois Valley CC on Saturday.
