"I am disappointed with the result but not the effort given by the players,
said Head Coach, Joe Whelton. "We were handicapped by not having two players with us. Our leading scorer Anthony Prescott and Dauntae Johnson were unable to play."
South Carolina product, Denzel Myers lead the team with 18 points while Sarasota High grad, Eric Halliwell, added 14.
Whelton added, "Our players are learning what it takes to win at this level. We have to concentrate and execute in order to win a game at Santa Fe who are undefeated and ranked #4 in the state."
The Manatees are on the road again next Wednesday at Florida State College-Jacksonville.
