Three baseball alumns had successful NCAA Division I opening weekend performances
Three of SCF Baseball's most recent alums had successful opening weekend performances at the NCAA Division I level. Nick Goody (LSU) struck out the side in the 9th inning on Friday, February 17 as LSU defeated Air Force 10-2 in their season opener. LB Dantzler (University of South Carolina) had the game winning hit in the bottom of the 8th inning during South Carolina’s season opener as they defeated VMI 2-1. LB also hit a 3 run HR and double with 4 RBIs as South Carolina beat VMI 13-1 on Saturday. LB finished the weekend series going 4-11 (.364) with five RBIs and a .727 slugging percentage. Jeremy Strawn (FAU) started game three Sunday against Alabama. FAU swept the Crimson Tide. Jeremy threw four effective innings, giving up one run and 3 hits while striking out 4.
