Manatees clinch berth to FCSAA State Tournament win over St. Pete, 4-2
BRADENTON, Fla- SCF Baseball beat St. Pete 4-2. This win clinched a berth to the FCSAA State/Region 8 tournament for the 18th consecutive year.

BRADENTON, Fla- SCF Baseball beat St. Pete 4-2. This win clinched a berth to the FCSAA State/Region 8 tournament for the 18th consecutive year.
Ben Ancheff (8-2) threw six full innings and was the winning pitcher. SCF got in to a no-out bases loaded jam in the 7th. Devon Carr took to the mound in relief and only allowed one run. Casey Mulholland earned the save with three straight outs in the ninth to secure the win for the Manatees. Offensive standouts were Jarred Smith and Sean Trent. Smith had an RBI single and Trent hit a two-run double.
The Manatees (16-3) remain in first place in the Suncoast Conference and 34-9 overall.
