SCF improves to (16-4) with two wins over Seminole State College
SANFORD,FL- SCF Softball swept at Seminole State College. The Manatees won 1-0 and 4-3. Chelsea Oglevie pitched her third complete game shutout to start off the afternoon double header. Sophomore catcher, Angie Dascoli, was 2-for-2 with a double and a sacrifice bunt. Freshman first baseman, Ashley Burney went 2-for-3 with an RBI single in the 5th inning to score Dani Wayt. Wayt (2-for-2) lead off the 5th with a single and scored the Manatee's only run. In game two, Paige Mathews earned her seventh win on the mound for SCF. The Manatees were up 4-1 heading in to the 7th. The freshman from Oviedo, FL went 6.33 innings adding 11 strikeouts and giving up three runs. Kirstin Toole came in for the save. The offense was lead by Dani Wayt (2-for-3) and Ashley Burney (1-for-2) who had a seventh inning RBI double. SCF Softball (16-4) hosts Miami Dade College on Sunday at 12 & 2pm.
