Softball rolls over Lake Sumter, 2-1 and 5-0, improving to 26-6
CLERMONT,Fla- The SCF softball team continues to improve adding two more wins against Lake Sumter State College. The Manatees went 8 innings in game one to win 2-1 and finished game two 5-0. Sophomore second baseman,Gianni Artidiello, from Miami, FL helped SCF top LSSC with a single, double, triple, RBI, stolen base, and two runs scored. Dani Wayt also added two hits, a triple, and three RBIs for the evening. Kirstin Toole (6 Ks, 1 earned run) and Paige Mathews (12 Ks, 0 runs) held the Lakers to only three hits each. The Manatees are (26-6) and travel to Indian River State College on Thursday.
