Altamonte Springs, Fla -  The SCF Manatees tennis team made history on Saturday at SanLando Park by capturing the 2015 FCSAA State/NJCAA Region 8 Championship.  The championship was the third in the Manatees history and the first back to back championship.  The Tennis team becomes the second sport in SCF history to have repeated at state champions. 

The Manatees made won five out of six singles championships and and two out three doubles championships.  Natella Nabieva repeated as #1 singles champion and FCSAA Player of the Year.  Other state champions in singles play incudes Sarah Peek at #3, Amiena Houston at #4, Mikala Lowrance at #5, and Casey O'Toole at #6.  In doubles play, Nabieva and Houston teamed up to win #2 doubles and Lowrance and O'Toole won #3 doubles as the FSCJ defaulted. 

Clayton Taylor was named FCSAA Tennis Coach of the Year. 

The Manatees earn a berth in the NJCAA National Tournament in Tucson, AZ May 3-8.
