SCF falls in OT to IMG Academies, 79-76

Odi Onyekachukwu scored 21 points in the State College of Florida’s 79-76 overtime loss to IMG Academies at Hal Chasey Gymnasium Saturday night.

Denzel Myers recorded 19 points for the Manatees’ while Bobby Thomas and Reggie Baity added 12 points each.

IMG tied the game at 66 on a 3-point shot with one second remaining to send the game into overtime.

The Manatees never led throughout the extra session. A free throw from Onyekachukwu drew the Manatees even at 73-73 in OT before IMG regained the lead for good.

SCF will open Suncoast Conference Wednesday when they host Polk State College at 7 p.m.
