JUCO Shootout: SCF beats #6 ranked TCC and Pasco Hernando Community College
OCALA, Fla.- The State College of Florida Men's Basketball team went undefeated at the JUCO Shootout tournament hosted at the College of Central Florida. SCF beat #6 ranked Tallahassee Community College on Saturday 104-94. The Manatees defeated Pasco Hernando Community College Sunday 124-83. SCF is (10-3) and hosts the SCF Classic tournament at home this upcoming weekend.

SCF beat #6 ranked Tallahassee Community College on Saturday 104-94. The Manatees defeated Pasco Hernando Community College Sunday 124-83. SCF is (10-3) and hosts the SCF Classic tournament at home this upcoming weekend.
On Saturday, The Manatees faced Tallahassee Community College (7-3) to open the JUCO Shootout. SCF ended TCC's seven-game winning streak beating the Eagles 104-94. No opponent has scored over 100 points on TCC since 2007. The Manatees are #2 in the nation in scoring with an average of 103 points per game. The offensive attack for SCF was led by freshman Anders Haas who had 28 points. Also scoring in double digits was Michael Sanchez (21), Savad Garner (13) and Larry Keys (11).
SCF faced Pasco Hernando Community College on day two of the JUCO Men's Basketball Shootout. The Manatees beat the Conquistadors with a season high score of 124-83. Isaiah Williams had 22 points, eight rebounds and six assists. Haas added another 17 points and 8 assists for the weekend. Sanchez had a repeat double digit performance with 18 points and seven assists. Freshman Brian Cobb hit 10 points and sophomore Garner had a 14 point showing.
Coach Erickson commented on the team's performance this weekend, "Defeating a national powerhouse like Tallahassee is a tremendous win for our program. I am so proud of how relentless we were for all 40 minutes. Our kids deserve all the credit. They proved they can compete on a national level tonight."
The Manatees improved to (10-3) and will host the SCF Classic this weekend.
