Denzel Myers signs with Lander University

BRADENTON, FL- Sophomore guard, Denzel Myers, signed a letter of intent with Lander University. Lander is NCAA Division II and in the Peach Belt Conference. Myers was a two-year starter for State College of Florida.

Denzel Myers was a two-time Suncoast All-Conference performer. In the 2013 season he averaged 10.3 points per game, 6.1 rebounds per game and 3.3 assists per game. His stats show that he is a complete player who was willing to do whatever it takes to help the team win.

"Denzel had the rare quality of wanting to do whatever it takes to win games," Coach Erickson said. "He had a great career here at SCF, will be sorely missed but he will continue to have a great career at Lander where he will be called upon to step in right away to impact their success next season".

"Although I will miss Coach Erickson next year, I am excited to go back home to South Carolina and continue my career," said Myers. "I look forward to having a great career and want to graduate from Lander University."
