SCF Basketball drops to HCC 92-86 in conference play
TAMPA, Fla.- The State College of Florida Men's Basketball team dropped their second conference game to Hillsborough Community College, 92-86. SCF is 20-6 this season with a conference record of 3-2. The Manatees are second in the Suncoast Conference behind Polk State College with a record of 4-1. SCF hosts Polk State Saturday at 4pm.

Savad Garner (Simpsonville, SC) led the Manatees squad with 22 points. This is his sixth consecutive game scoring over 20 points. Garner also added seven rebounds, two assists and one steal. Isaiah Williams hit 20 points and had 11 boards for SCF. Michael Sanchez and Denzel Meyers brought double-digit performances with a collective 30 points.
This season, the Manatees have accumulated stats landing them ranked nationally in several categories. They lead the nation in points scored (2605), points per game (100.2) and average field goals made per game (37.7). SCF is 2nd in the country in field goal percentage (53.3%) and assists per game (24.3). They are fourth in three-pointers per game, eighth in three-point percentage and eleventh in steals per game.
