Bio
Dylan returns to SCF for his second season with the Manatees.
During the 2017-2018 basketball season, Dylan splayed in 14 games, starting 11. He averaged 2.6 points-per-game, 3 rebounds-per-game, and 1 block-per-game. Additionally, Dylan is a phenomenal student, as he was recognized as a member of the Suncoast Conference All-Academic team.
Porter was a standout basketball player at F.W. Buchholz High School in Gainesville, FL. He received many accolades during his tenure, yet his favorite accomplishment is when his team won districts during his sophomore season. Additionally, Porter played on AAU/travel ball clubs that were highly successful; winning the “Sunshine State Games” and “Big Shots ATL” tournaments.
Dylan’s favorite athlete is the famous Duke basketball player Christian Laettner. He enjoys tacos and the Detroit Lions. During his free time, Dylan’s favorite hobbies include: swimming, football, and playing Fortnite.
Dylan is the son of Laurie and Gary Porter. He has two siblings: Chris and Zackary.
Porter plans on pursuing a degree in Public Relations.
