BASKETBALL: Catching up with Coach E - 11/29/2013
We are currently heading to Chipola for the Panhandle Classic. This tournament will feature some of the best teams in the state. I am so proud to represent SCF at this prestigious event. We have the toughest four game stretch to date, which starts with Gulf Coast State College, Friday at 3pm EST. Gulf Coast already has 3 NCAA Division I commitments, including their point guard who signed at Oklahoma State. This will be a great challenge for our team.

To make the challenge even more difficult, we only have ONE DAY to prepare after our battle last night at Indian River. We fought so hard for the entire 40 minutes. It will be very difficult to turn around, one day later, after a 7 hour bus ride, and compete against the #5 ranked team in the state. With that being said, Saturday, we have to come right back and face Pensacola State College who is #8 in Florida. WELCOME TO REGION 8. I told my players today as we finished practice, "This is why you are here, this is to show everyone what you are made of as individuals, but more importantly what we are made of as a team. |

We must stay together and continue to play by the
motto,"ALL IN ALL THE TIME". We only have
10 total players traveling with us this weekend. One of which is
Stone Hollaway, who has been injured for 3 weeks. Also, the heart
and soul of our team, Savad Garner, has to miss Saturday's game.
Our team has met and conquered every obstacle in front of us, on
and off the court this season. We are working toward our goals to
win the Suncoast Conference, Region 8, and this weekend is just
another test.
Catch up with me next week!
Coach E
