Nabieva Finishes 4th at ITA Nationals

Sumter, SC - Natella Nabieva finished the USTA/ITA National Small College Championship in 4th place.  Nabieva entered the tournament as the top seeded player.  In her first match, Natella defeated Kelly Burge of Abraham Baldwin Agricutlural College by a score of 6-3, 6-0.

The quarter final match was against the #4 seeded Fatyha Berjane of Georgia Perimeter College.  Nabieva fell to Berjane by a score of 6-3, 6-2. 

The loss sent Navieva to the third/fourth place match against #2 seeded Paula Lopez from Seward County Community College.  Lopez lost eventual champoin, Javana Savva of Tyler Junior College, in the quarterfinal match.

Nabvieva was defeated by Lopez by a score of 6-1, 6-4 and finished in 4th place.
