Hall of Fame and Alumni Game Updates

Bradenton, Fla - The annual traditions of the Alumni Games and the Hall of Fame Induction ceremony are cherished at State College of Florida. The Homecoming Weekend has become a time to remember our rich past athletic accolades while preparing for the future ahead. As stories of times past are shared by the Hall of Fame inductees and alumni alike, current student-athletes share their experiences as a Manatee. It is truely a blend of yesterday and tomorrow. 

In light of the ongoing preventive measures in response to COVID-19, State College of Florida has decided to modify the Homecoming weekend festivities for 2021.  The baseball alumni game has been shifted to the end of the spring season.  It will take place on May 1st at 2:00 pm.  Coach Hill and the Manatees Athletic Department invites all baseball alumni to join us for this special day at the end of the season.  After much consideration, the softball and tennis programs have elected to forego the events in 2021.  Coach Schuerman and Coach Murphy remain hopeful that these special days will reconvene for the spring of 2022.

Finally, SCF is actively pursing a date in June to host the SCF Golf Classic and Hall of Fame Induction ceremony.  As this process continues, we will continue to accept nominations for the SCF Hall of Fame Class of 2021.  Please visit the SCF Hall of Fame page for more information. Nominations will close March 15, 2021.  Please check back for additional information about the 2021 Hall of Fame.
