Bio
Voelkl was a four-year varsity starter at Manatee High School. He was named All-Area Player of the Year his junior year leading the team in hitting with an average of.455 with five homeruns and 39 RBIs. His senior year, his team went to the high school state semifinal game for the first time in more than 50 years. He was selected to play in Sebring, Fla. in the Florida Coaches Association All-Star game and was named first team All-State. Voelkl won two state championships with American Legion Post 24 in 2009 and 2011. He graduated with a 3.6 GPA and is pursuing an associate degree at SCF.
