CJ Alexander Drafted By Atlanta Braves

State College of Florida 3rd Baseman/Outfielder CJ Alexander was drafted in the 2018 Major League Baseball [MLB] First-Year Player Draft by the Atlanta Braves in Round 20.

CJ was a stellar player for the 2018 Manatees, leading the team in multiple offensive categories including: batting average (.405), slugging percentage (.785), doubles (19), triples (7), and home runs (15). Additionally, Alexander was tied for 2nd in home runs in the state and was 4th in RBI's.

Previously, Alexander had been named 2018 Suncoast Conference Player-of-the-Year. Alexander leaves the Manatees after one year on the club. He will either sign with the Braves or attend the University of Central Florida to continue his baseball career.

We at the State Colege of Florida are #SCFProud of his accomplishments and wish him tremendous success in his future endeavors.
