Baseball Adds Three to the FCSAA All-State Team
Port Charlotte, Fla - Three players from the SCF baseball team were selected as members of the All-NJCAA Region 8 Teams, which was highlighted by freshman Lochlan Radloff taking home the All-NJCAA Region 8 Pitcher of the Year. Additionally, Radloff was named to the All-NJCAA Region First Team while teammates, sophomore Luke Boykin and freshman Myles Davis, were named to the All-NJCAA Region Second Team.
Radloff, the local product from Lakewood Ranch High School, is currently 7-4 with a 3.53 ERA, 32 walks and 93 strikeouts in 81.2 innings of work with six complete games (five shutouts). Earlier last week, Radloff was named the Citrus Conference Pitcher of the Year, a member of the Citrus Conference First Team and the Citrus Conference Top 10 Players List.
Boykin, who was previously named on the Citrus Conference First Team, is currently batting .342 with 53 hits, 44 runs, 18 home runs and 48 RBI. His 18 home runs continues to rank #2 in the state and #10 in the nation.
Davis, who has been the Manatees' starting designated hitter, is currently batting .374 with 55 hits, 35 runs, five home runs and 34 RBI while going on a 17-game hitting streak, dating back to April 3. Like Radloff and Boykin, he was previously named on the Citrus Conference First Team.
The Manatees will kickoff the final four of the NJCAA Region 8 State Baseball Tournament Friday afternoon, May 9 at 1 pm against Florida Southwestern.
