Baseball Earns a Solid Win Over Tampa JV
The SCF offense erupted for 13 runs on 15 hits to power past the University of Tampa JV squad, 13–3, in a dominant all-around performance.
SCF's offense was relentless from the start, highlighted by a monster day from Dominic Woodward. The outfielder went 3-for-3 with two home runs, a triple, four RBIs, and three runs scored, igniting the Manatees' attack. Holden Brauner added a two-run homer, while Will Rawls drove in four runs on two hits to keep the pressure on throughout the lineup.
Josh Castellani contributed a triple among his two hits and scored twice, and Joshua Reiter chipped in with a pair of hits, including a double, and an RBI. In total, SCF blasted three home runs and did not strike out once, showcasing an efficient and disciplined approach at the plate.
On the mound, Trevor Zeigler earned the win with four strong innings, allowing just two runs (one earned) while striking out seven. Daniel Norbeck and Nick Curbelo combined for two scoreless frames in relief, and Chase Wildroudt added an inning of work as the Manatees' staff totaled 11 strikeouts.
The University of Tampa JV collected eight hits, with M. Hall leading the way with two hits and a double. T. Majer and J. Degnan each drove in a run, but the Spartans were unable to keep pace with SCF's offensive surge.
