Baseball Taakes Two of Three Versus Santa Fe
Game 1
The Manatees delivered one of its most complete offensive performances of the season, overwhelming Santa Fe College in a 12–3 victory fueled by relentless hitting and early momentum.
From the outset, SCF's lineup was locked in, racking up 16 hits and scoring in bunches. Ryan Kaitz led the charge with a monster day at the plate, going 4-for-5 with two home runs and five RBIs. Every time Santa Fe looked to settle in, Kaitz delivered another big swing to keep the pressure on.
At the top of the lineup, Karson Grout set the tone by going 2-for-4, scoring three times, and driving in a run. His ability to get on base and create traffic opened the door for the middle of the order to do damage. Josh Castellani added two hits, including a double, while scoring twice and driving in a run.
The production continued throughout the lineup. Holden Brauner turned in a strong 3-for-4 performance with a double and two RBIs, and Ben Ryan chipped in with two hits, including an extra-base knock, and an RBI of his own. SCF didn't rely on walks—they didn't draw a single one—but consistently squared up pitches and kept the line moving.
On the mound, Bernard Barnes set the foundation with five strong innings, allowing just one run on three hits while keeping Santa Fe off balance. He worked efficiently and let his defense play behind him, earning the win.
Santa Fe managed to show some life late, highlighted by a solo home run from Akhil Nimmala and a pair of hits from Cole Carnell, but the deficit proved too large to overcome.
Game 2
Baseball held off a late push from Santa Fe College to secure a 6–5 win, riding timely hitting and just enough pitching to come out on top in a tightly contested game.
SCF built its advantage with steady production throughout the lineup, capitalizing on key opportunities rather than relying on big innings. Josh Castellani delivered the biggest swing of the day, going 2-for-3 with a double and driving in three runs, providing the backbone of the offense.
Ben Ryan added an important power moment, launching a two-run home run and finishing with two RBIs, while Karson Grout set the tone early with a pair of hits and an RBI. The lineup stayed balanced, with contributions up and down, including hits from Ryan Kaitz, Dominic Woodward, and Will Rawls, who also added a stolen base.
Santa Fe kept things close throughout and didn't go away quietly. Akhil Nimmala led their effort with two RBIs, while Tucker Hansen added a run-scoring double. Ryan Chase collected two hits, helping Santa Fe stay within striking distance into the later innings.
On the mound, Lochlan Radloff went the distance for SCF, earning the win with a complete-game effort. He allowed five runs (four earned) on six hits, working efficiently without issuing a walk. Despite some defensive miscues behind him, Radloff limited further damage and made key pitches when it mattered.
Santa Fe threatened late but couldn't find the tying run, as SCF's earlier offensive production proved just enough to hold on.
