Miami Dade College
Northwest Florida State College
Chipola College
Vs. Miami Dade
Miami Dade broke through with a balanced offensive attack, finishing with 11 hits and five extra-base knocks, including doubles from Adrian Areizaga, Jendy Gonzalez, William Polanco, and a standout performance from Miguel Colmenares, who drove in four runs and homered as part of a key offensive surge. That outburst proved to be the difference, as Miami Dade steadily built separation over the middle innings.
State College of Florida collected 10 hits but struggled to convert opportunities, leaving 10 runners on base. The lineup was led by Karson Grout and Steele Burd, each with multi-hit efforts, while Calin Heath also reached base multiple times. SCF's only run came on Karson Grout's RBI, as the offense was held in check by Miami Dade's pitching staff.
On the mound, Miami Dade starter Xavier Pelzer set the tone with 4.1 scoreless innings, allowing just four hits while striking out four. The bullpen followed with steady work from Jose Villegas, Jesus Moreno, and Luke Helms, who combined to keep SCF off the scoreboard the rest of the way.
Starter Lochlan Radloff took the loss after allowing four runs over 4.2 innings, while Aidan Ray was tagged for two more runs in relief.
Vs. Northwest Florida
Josh Castellani delivered two hits and an RBI, Ben Ryan added two hits and a run driven in, and Holden Brauner provided the biggest swing of the day with a home run and two RBIs. Dominic Woodward and Karson Grout also reached multiple times and scored, helping SCF build a lead it would not relinquish.
Northwest Florida State stayed competitive with seven hits, led by Orlando Fernandez's multi-hit effort, including two doubles, and Anthony Quigley, who drove in two runs with a homer. However, the offense was largely contained outside of those contributions, as SCF pitchers worked around traffic and limited big innings.
On the mound, Riley McDonald was the difference-maker for SCF, working eight innings while allowing just three runs and striking out 10 in a gutsy performance. Despite issuing four walks, he limited damage and kept his team ahead deep into the game. Ben Ryan closed it out with a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save.
Northwest Florida starter Aiden Torrez took the loss after allowing five runs over five innings, while Eli Jones provided strong relief with four shutout innings, but the early deficit proved too much to overcome.
Vs. Chipola College
Holden Brauner provided a double, and also reached base multiple times, helping generate one of the few consistent threats on the bases. Dominic Woodward added the only other hit, while Josh Castellani accounted for SCF's lone RBI, briefly putting a run on the board. Calin Heath also contributed by reaching base and adding a stolen base.
The biggest issue for SCF was missed opportunities. The lineup never fully broke through against Chipola starter Joey Ervin, who controlled the game with command and efficiency.
On the mound, SCF had mixed results. Andrew Raucci delivered a steady start, working five innings and keeping the game within reach for most of his outing, but he was tagged for four runs as Chipola capitalized on walks and timely hits. The bullpen had flashes—particularly Baden Wallace, who threw 2.1 scoreless innings with three strikeouts—but brief middle-inning struggles allowed Chipola to extend its lead beyond reach.
