Justin Zinkovich

Bio

Justin Zinkovich is entering his first season as the Pitching Coach at SCF.  A 2008 graduate of SCF, Zinkovich pitched in the College’s baseball program from 2007-08.  He was named First Team All-Suncoast Conference in 2007 as he went 7-2 in helping SCF to a Suncoast Conference Co-Championship.  In 2008, Zinkovich helped lead SCF to a state runner-up finish.  

Following his SCF playing career, Zinkovich played at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University from 2009-10.  He was the 2009 Sun Conference Pitcher of the Year and a First-Team All-American selection after going 13-1 with a 2.32 ERA and 95 strikeouts.  He helped lead the Eagles to two NAIA World Series appearances in 2009 and 2010. In 2011, Zinkovich played professionally with the Gateway Grizzlies of the Frontier League.

Zinkovich graduated from Saint Leo University in 2012 with his B.A. in Sports Business. In 2010-2011 he worked in the front office for the New York Yankees during Spring Training and with the Tampa Yankees.  In 2012 he worked for the Pittsburgh Pirates during the Major League Spring Training season and the Florida State League season with the Bradenton Marauders.

From 2011-2012 Zinkovich helped build a baseball academy in the Tampa Bay area called Rookies Baseball and Softball Academy which fields summer travel ball teams of all ages.
