Volleyball Earns Academic Honors
SCF Volleyball Team Earns Academic All-American Honors Congratulations to all 14 players for being awarded Academic All-American Honors by earning a team GPA of 3.44.
BRADENTON,FL- All 14 players from the 2010-11 sqaud earned Academic All-American Honors with a team GPA of 3.44. The NJCAA ranks the teams across the nation by individual and team grade point average. SCF came in 11th in the country and was the only college from the state of Florida to reach this list.
Head Coach Carmine Garofalo added, "What makes this even more rewarding and exciting is knowing that SCF had the 11th highest GPA in the country (for volleyball). SCF was also the ONLY Florida College to receive this honor! Congratulations to ALL players for this outstanding achievement. You have shown in so many ways this year what can be accomplished when one is focused and puts forth the right effort. Great job everyone, we are very proud of you".
