SCF Volleyball opens season with a win over Iowa Lakes CC

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa - The State College of Florida Volleyball team opened their season with a win over Iowa Lakes Community College. SCF blanked Iowa Lakes 3-0. Freshman, Brittany Jaco, had 14 digs for the Manatees. Sophomore Nicole McDonald hit a .500 with 10 kills, Kierston Smith added six kills and 18 assists, while Danielle Williams hit a .600. The Manatees kicked off the 2012 season with a trip to Iowa Western Community College Tournament. They play the tournament host tomorrow at 11a.m. and face Western Wyoming Community College at 3p.m.
