Softball Sweeps Three Game Series With Pasco-Hernando
Game 1
From the outset, SCF established control with an explosive offensive performance, racking up 15 hits and scoring in bunches. The lineup operated with remarkable efficiency, consistently putting the ball in play and applying pressure every inning without recording a single strikeout.
Kaylin Smith led the charge with a stellar 3-for-4 performance, scoring three runs and driving in three more to anchor the offense. A'Lana Martinez was equally impactful at the top of the lineup, going 2-for-4 with three runs scored and wreaking havoc on the bases with three stolen bases.
Bree Urban continued her strong stretch, adding two hits and three RBIs, while Cailinne Kelly contributed a pair of hits and an RBI. The production didn't stop there—Jamie Sepsick and Genesis Lopez each recorded two hits, helping fuel a lineup that saw contributions from nearly every spot.
SCF's ability to sustain rallies and string together quality at-bats proved overwhelming. Whether it was timely hits, aggressive baserunning, or situational execution, the team consistently found ways to extend innings and convert opportunities into runs.
In the circle, Allison Cole provided another steady performance. The right-hander went five innings, allowing just two runs (one earned) while keeping Pasco-Hernando from generating any sustained momentum. Cole effectively worked through traffic and relied on her defense to help limit damage.
Pasco-Hernando managed four hits, with Adielyz Rivera leading the way with two hits and two runs scored, but the team struggled to match SCF's offensive firepower.
Game 2
The Manatees wasted no time setting the tone, jumping out to an early lead with a six-run surge in the opening innings. Their ability to capitalize on opportunities and string together productive at-bats immediately put Pasco-Hernando on its heels and created separation that held for the remainder of the game.
A'Lana Martinez led the offensive charge with a dynamic all-around performance, going 2-for-3 while scoring three runs and driving in three. She also created constant pressure on the bases, adding multiple stolen bases and setting the tone at the top of the lineup.
Kierstyn Aumua delivered a perfect day at the plate, going 3-for-3 with two runs scored, consistently igniting rallies and keeping innings alive. Kaitlyn Shea made a major impact as well, driving in three runs and contributing in key situations to extend SCF's lead. Kaylin Smith added an RBI, while Brooke-Lynn Hilderbrand chipped in with a run-producing hit as part of a balanced offensive effort.
Despite recording just one strikeout, SCF remained disciplined and efficient, using timely hitting, situational execution, and aggressive baserunning to generate nine runs on 10 hits.
In the circle, Dava Hoffer turned in a composed and effective outing to earn the win. She worked six innings, allowing just one run while scattering six hits. Although Pasco-Hernando drew several walks, Hoffer consistently limited damage and made key pitches when needed to keep rallies from developing.
Pasco-Hernando managed six hits in the game, with Alexandria Romero leading the way with a two-hit performance. Taylor Schultze accounted for the team's lone run, but SCF's early offensive burst proved too much to overcome.
Game 3
Pasco-Hernando applied early pressure, taking advantage of walks and timely hits to push across six runs in the opening innings. However, SCF quickly responded—and once they found their rhythm offensively, the momentum shifted decisively.
The turning point came as SCF's lineup erupted for sustained scoring across multiple innings, finishing with 14 hits and 15 runs in one of their most productive performances. Their ability to answer early adversity with relentless offense proved to be the difference.
A'Lana Martinez led the charge with a standout performance, going 3-for-5 with four RBIs and three runs scored. She set the tone at the top of the lineup and consistently delivered in key situations. Kaylin Smith added three RBIs, while Cailinne Kelly matched that total with a 3-for-4 day at the plate, anchoring the middle of the order.
Bree Urban contributed two RBIs, and Jamie Sepsick added two hits and an RBI, continuing SCF's trend of production throughout the lineup. Kaitlyn Shea and Brooke-Lynn Hilderbrand were constant sparks as well, each scoring four runs and combining for four hits, creating relentless pressure on the basepaths.
SCF's offensive depth was on full display, with contributions coming from nearly every spot and multiple players reaching base multiple times.
In the circle, Mia Macaione navigated a challenging start, allowing six runs but keeping the game within reach. From there, Allison Cole took over and delivered a dominant relief performance, shutting down Pasco-Hernando over the final 3.2 innings without allowing a hit. Cole's outing stabilized the game and allowed SCF's offense to take full control.
Despite drawing five walks and finding some early success, Pasco-Hernando was limited to just three hits on the day. Hannah Gniadek drove in two runs, and Taylor Schultze added an RBI, but the offense was unable to keep pace once SCF surged ahead.
