SCF's offense did most of its damage with the long ball, as Bree Urban and Kaitlyn Shea each went deep to account for three of the team's four runs. Urban finished with a two-run homer and also added a sacrifice fly, while Shea delivered a solo shot as part of a 1-for-2 performance.
A'Lana Martinez set the table at the top of the lineup, going 2-for-3 with a double and scoring twice, while Cailinne Kelly added a key RBI single and finished with two hits. Kierstyn Aumua also contributed a double as SCF produced seven hits and capitalized on its limited opportunities against FSCJ starter Alexis Laura.
Florida State College at Jacksonville struggled to generate offense, managing just two hits on the day. Zoe Pascoe recorded one of those hits and scored a run, while pinch hitter Lauren Enicks delivered both RBIs on a late two-run hit that accounted for FSCJ's only offense.
In the circle, Dava Hoffer delivered a standout performance for SCF despite battling control issues. Additional run production came from Cailinne Kelly, Jamie Sepsick, Kaitlyn Shea, and Baylie Dorr, helping SCF consistently extend innings and capitalize on free passes.
